Money and Love: Why Modern Dating Stopped Working

Think of all the things that money cannot buy…

As a society, we act as though everything revolves around money, even though we know money cannot buy the best of friends, family, spiritual fulfillment, or authentic love.

As for humanity, what was there before the widely accepted existence of exchanging paper and numbers on a screen for sustenance? Many theories commonly found in standardized history books will only dance around a hypothesis.

From barter to salt to coins to credit. These explanations are plausible enough to keep the majority of people stuck working for the bare minimum. All the while those at the top hoard the majority of unimaginable wealth and abundance. It’s been like this throughout most of history (that we have been allowed to know). Pacify the weak and allow the ruthless to dominate. The same can be said for relationship problems of this era of humanity.

Though you could say that through the use of chemical substances and environmental “modifications”, people have become much more pacified. It goes so much deeper than what can be said in one article. Humans deal with the mediums they are given and interpret things based on what they are prone to perceive. Our reality is much stranger than society has conned the masses to believe.

Love, like any other thing worthwhile must be cultivated in order to be sustained, it cannot be what is now, which is essentially mental masturbation through social media. In love, a fleeting moment can cause a scar that will be remembered for a lifetime, just as much as a long years of suffering can feel unbearable to pull away from. Not saying that the modern ways of dating are correct but the state of economic and sociopolitical theatre has allowed for this mindset to materialize.

We have been brainwashed to believe that material success, titles and monetary compensation can fill this gaping hole that humans need to truly evolve and thrive. But all it has done is make life more complicated, lower birth rates and destroy honorable principles.

We exist to co-exist. Not just with humans but with everything around us. Nature, spirits, and even non-human intelligences. Whether you believe so or not does not matter to the threads of fate that bind you to life’s oddities. Nor to the decades of research surrounding the topic.

The point is when you base your perception only on what you see, you blind yourself to different aspects of reality. The truth has been around for a very long time, and its only those who allow their perception to expand that may now see what has always been right in front of them.

If you knew the truth of our reality would you withhold love or would you be willing to set those differences aside? Its a lonely place in the universe and there is never enough time to show devotion for who and what really matters.

Money

It may seem so that money can purchase the lot of what life requires. Food, water, shelter, comfort, etc. but it also implies it has the power to destroy the very things that makes it so enticing; life, nature, stability, and love.

Whether you see or not, it happens simultaneously every single day, chipping away at society. Allowing corporations to use up the energy of “mostly” good intended people as they destroy the new generations decades later. Mostly through the widespread use of toxic forever chemicals in everything and the changing biology of nature that we are left to deal with.

‘True’ love cannot be purchased with money, of which most of you probably already know that. Though, through corporate action and mass advertisement it has convinced the general populace that simple love cannot exist if money is not involved in one way or another.

You’ll probably say or hear, “ThEn WHy DoN’T yOu TrY bUyINg SoMEThiNg WitH LoVE!?”, as a counter argument. The sad reality is we live in a over materialistic world and people have learned through public education and media to think too literal. To speak of higher principles or even simple esoteric knowledge is like teaching an dog to walk upright and paint a sunset.

At its core, it is a figment of our collective hallucination. Money can make dull things seem shiny and shiny things seem dull. And when the scales (eventually) come off peoples eyes, they then see the truth hidden right in front of them.

We don’t need larger systems to manage consumerism slop and waste, we need more mindful action and less things to want, otherwise we will end up wanting the destruction of all we know in order to accompany our debilitated spiritual understanding of the world and ourselves.

Love can’t be bought and sold for the illusion that it is, simply, money connects to our sense of emotional self worth that oscillates as we move throughout our life circumstances. Dealing with our actions and reactions, whether from this lifetime or another. The bill always comes due and it cannot be paid with money. Setting aside or bottling up your feelings won’t help but push this realization to another date.

With the amount of waste humans have catastrophically produced, it isn’t a wonder we haven’t found more love in the world. A classic case where quantity ≠ quality. Having more people live mundane trivial lives doesn’t help the case either, as the group think becomes larger, self reflection becomes smaller and so too does individuality.

Love is Cultivated, Not Consumed

Simplistically, love is glorified and even vilified in today’s day and age. Pushing its boundaries to nonexistence or insatiability within modern society. Disgust following the outflow of true feelings, courtship swatted before it can even begin, or the polar opposite of sex and sexual prowess being used as the epitome of “love and affection”.

Love involves as much pain as it is beauty and hate as it is joyous. Love is now being used as a scapegoat from the stark reality that we contribute to this hellscape of a rat race to the top that doesn’t even exist. It pushes the dreaded depravity that we sink ourselves down into deeper as we continue the milieu that is the surveillance state, tyranny, and consumerism.

Prostitution as “the oldest profession”, is a transaction. Money can pay for it but it is “clear” in the sense that it involves a medium of exchange in order to achieve a goal. Rather than romance that can develop out of seemingly a few exchange of words or looks and must be cultivated in order to be shown the truth of the situation. The epitome of love can be the all encompassing attention and focus of you and a lover, without other mediums that we interpret as holding value. Love is only as good as the other person and their ideals mixed with yours.

They often say that love is letting go or at least learning to. I tend to disagree, it means pounding your head against the (metaphorical) wall until you understand the detriment you chose to put yourself through. It means internal change and ultimately self-actualization or in some cases self-destruction. Understanding that this path can lead to a good or bad outcome depending on your own tendencies is the key.

This generation of lovers have given a bad name to ‘love’, albeit splitting the fault with themselves and their forebearers for allowing the ongoing depravity that is consumerism and ignorance. With it comes the wakeup call from the destruction of the systems they hold so dear. It can be seen through shifting ideals, mass brainwashing campaigns, financial instability and economic turmoil, all with the fact that people simply ‘didn’t know any better’.

Romantic love is often a rebellion, whether against social norms, your parent’s wishes, even your own opposite outlooks on life. They often say you will attract opposites or even what you are. The dichotomy of love is that it is as much a uniting factor as it is a separating one.

If we give and expect things in return from our partner then we are essentially creating a business transaction attached to romantic emotions.

If two lovers both love and give freely without expectation, knowing well that the other person may or may not do the same in return, only then can we begin to cultivate a true bond. In other words, a counterpoint and a huge waste of time when compared to today’s “extremely” high standards, (sarcastically speaking).

You are probably thinking, but what if they don’t appreciate me or I don’t get anything in return. Then it’s simple, don’t do anything and don’t love anyone… it saves money.

Letting Go

A big favor I want to ask of you, is to slowly let go of all your preconceived notions of how you believed the world works and how you know history. As to open up your perception to the unknown, the place where you wish to step but are afraid to fall into. Everyone has something they want, whether it’s to see past family/friends/lovers, provide care for those they love, make copious amounts of money, achieve power over others, etc. Maybe all of these subjects are something you want… or non of them.

Someone that love you will eventually have to let you go someday too. The push and pull duality of life is what keeps us spinning in circles driving us to find the essence we miss so much in something else. Rather than evolving past our circumstances and spiraling up to spread that love we cultivated to make the world a truly wonderful place. Transmuting and paying forward our energy so that the future may be better without the likes of our current disgrace of a society.

You come into this world influenced and inoculated by the system that was put forth to keep humanity subdued. Keeping an open mind is the only way forward, some things are worth keeping and others should be forgotten. Is it truly worth it that we must inject ourselves with artificial poisons, eat artificial nutrients and work for the progress of our destruction in the name of love? This begs the question of do we truly “love” or do we love the very things we claim to hate?

The biology altering methods of modern vaccinations, foods, devices, and so much more environmental factors need to be taken into serious consideration when beginning the journey to realization and actualization. Not to mention the artificial lifestyles in which we are corralled into as the population increasingly becomes a burden for modern governance to control.

Exposing the harsh truths that the population only worked for the destruction of themselves, the bill has now come due in terms of mass surveillance, censorship and worse down the road. Don’t you just love what money can buy? Maybe this could all be wrong one day and you’ll be able to purchase the “true love” you seek for a small fee of a quadrillion dollars!

All jokes aside, you’re probably thinking this article is extremely unrealistic. That’s the point. If you haven’t been paying attention, love is unrealistic at all points of this superficial system that builds off of the exploitation of human labor, ingenuity, and knowledge. To then use it against them in the worst possible forms. Humiliating the human race while having them think they are doing labors of love to then harm themselves and their loved ones in the end. Humans want what they are drawn to and that’s both the key and the lock. We can’t move forward as a species until this is realized.

In essence, money has not improved the state of love nor will it ever. Maybe some relationships can exist in harmony with the system but not all. Only through the harsh actualization that money cannot buy something that is innately free will the natural state of love return to this forsaken land. Its time we moved past these chains of redundant checks and balances and return to a state where harmony can be experienced without the constant need for validation. Humanity fell from love many millennia ago and has done everything to try to return to its original state, money cannot pay for this…
